Hello, it's Taylor Grewe here!
As a true Fredericktonian, born and raised here, Taylor has watched this “small town” become a significant “spot on the map” for people to visit. She attended Thomas Johnson Highschool where she lettered in soccer and was a part of the flagship countywide art program ‘The Academy for the Fine Arts.’ After pursuing soccer on a Division I collegiate level and graduating with a BA in Fine Arts she “stumbled” into the world of event design and began creating immersive experiences from blank canvases for her clients. With her high energy, can-do attitude, and design sense Taylor quickly advanced in this field, traveling throughout the US and the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.
All the while Taylor had been bitten by the Real Estate bug. By the time she was 28 Taylor had purchased her own Downtown Frederick historic brick row home, a 1950’s Cape Cod fixer-upper spending countless hours renovating it, andrented her townhouse for a few years, subsequently selling it. Continuing down a path as a real estate agent just seemed like a natural transition for her and joining a local women-owned Brokerage was a perfect fit.
While renovating her home has kept Taylor busy, she also finds time to enjoy her passion for gardening. Her yard now boasts color in all seasons and her fenced in vegetable garden has become her oasis – harvesting anything from tomatoes and peppers to melons of all types and beans, peas and even broccoli! These fruits of her labor are often handed out to friends and family, made into delicious meals or pickled, canned, and sauced. After all the phrase is “the way to someone’s heart is through the stomach” right? While out in the garden you can always trust her sidekicks, Ziggy the Rottweiler and Zoey the cat (who thinks she is a dog) to be right there beside her.
When not re-designing her home (a million times over), taking on a DIY project, or working in her gardens Taylor and husband Philip are avid travelers; with the goal to visit every National Park. Having already made one cross-country road trip, traveled the coast of California, and visited Yosemite and Glacier National Parks they are well on their way. On her free weekends you can most likely find Taylor enjoying their lakefront oasis at Lake Anna, Virginia.
While Taylor spent her college years in South Carolina, has traveled much of the US and several European countries, she is back in Frederick and thrilled to call this place home. With its historic charm, progressive thinking, hopping foodie scene and lots of countryside to be explored Frederick County has a unique appeal and is considered to be one of the most popular destinations in Maryland. And a great place to call home!
